This is the second time in two days that an alleged Pakistani drone has been spotted in Indian airspace in the Amritsar district of India's Punjab state.
India's Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a drone near the international border in the Amritsar district of Punjab state on Monday night, the paramilitary force revealed on Tuesday.
The BSF launched a search operation Tuesday morning and seized a destroyed black-colored drone, approximately 700 meters from the international border (IB) with Pakistan.

"One big packet wrapped with yellow colored adhesive tape and one small torch was found," the BSF added.

In a separate incident on the intervening night of March 28, another drone was prevented from infiltrating Indian territory — alert BSF troops fired at the UAV before beginning a combing operation in the area.

The BSF also captured two suspects in the area of the operation, confiscating drugs and weapons found on them. This infiltration bid also took place in the Amritsar sector.
"During the search operation, BSF troops arrested two men and seized 3.22 kg heroin," the paramilitary force said.
The episodes came to light after the BSF forced an alleged Pakistani drone to retreat near Toor village in Amritsar on March 26.
A BSF official on Sunday said that its personnel recovered 6.2 kg of illegal drugs from the site after the drone fled from the spot.
