According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), due to western disturbances in the weather, Delhi recorded more than 20 mm of rainfall in April, the month’s highest since 2017. More rains are predicted till Sunday.
People woke up to an unusual mist that engulfed Delhi NCR on Thursday morning after a sudden untimely downpour in the hottest month of the year.
May, which usually recorded a temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius, has now seen a drop to 15.8 degrees Celsius with low visibility limit of 800 metres due to shallow fog.
Residents couldn't hold back and took to social media to post visuals of the foggy morning.
While some find it a surreal sight, others couldn't believe their eyes.
