Supporters of ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan took to the streets across Pakistan, including in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, to protest the arrest of the PTI party chief conducted on Tuesday.
PTI workers clashed with police and set vehicles on fire in Islamabad and Lahore -- where the residence of the ex-premier is located.

Imran Khan was ousted from power in a no-confidence vote last April, for which he largely blamed a purported conspiracy by the US administration to "punish" Khan for his government's independent foreign policy, including the good relationship with Russia.
