Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday blasted Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for his shocking claims hurled against him, alleging that the cricketer-turned-politician was planning a "raid and rape" in an apparent attempt to tarnish the image of the country's security agencies."If there were any doubts about women being mistreated in jails, this press conference from this certified criminal should remove all such doubts," Khan posted on Twitter.Khan's remarks came in response to Sanaullah's allegations wherein he claimed that the 70-year-old opposition leader was orchestrating a conspiracy to malign Pakistan's law enforcement agencies, where he would use a party member's house to conduct a "raid and rape".Sanaullah further stated that he was saying all this on the basis of Pakistan's intelligence agencies, who had intercepted telephone conversations in connection with Khan's plan."A plan […] was being prepared. That there is an actual raid at a home — and that home will be of a known PTI worker — and an incident of firing occurs there, resulting in casualties," the minister told reporters in a press conference in Islamabad."In the same conversation that was intercepted, a second drama was that a rape is carried out. Meaning that an actual rape is carried out, and it is blamed on law enforcement agencies [and] that it is happening at the government's behest," Sanaullah elaborated.The back and forth between Khan and Sanaullah has come at a time when the PTI is feeling the heat of an intense government crackdown on its workers and top politicians.In recent days, many senior politicians of Khan's party have deserted the 1992 Cricket World Cup-winning captain, including former Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, and senior vice-president Shireen Mazari.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday blasted Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for his
shocking claims hurled against him, alleging that the cricketer-turned-politician was planning a "raid and rape" in an apparent attempt to tarnish the image of the country's security agencies.
"If there were any doubts about women being mistreated in jails, this press conference from this certified criminal should remove all such doubts," Khan posted on Twitter.
"He is so obviously trying to cover up and pre-empt the horror stories about to break in the media," the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf chief added, noting that females "were being "mistreated and harassed by the state" holding peaceful protests.
