Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister of India in May 2014.
As part of federally ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launching a massive nine years' celebration programme, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a rally in Rajasthan's Ajmer district and launch a month-long mass connection campaign.
The BJP strategically chose the location, as the rally aims to boost the morale of party workers and because the state assembly election is scheduled to be held later this year.
At present, Congress is the ruling party in the state, and it has been riven by a virulent dispute which has been played out in publich between state chief Ashok Gehlot and former state deputy chief Sachin Pilot.
On Tuesday, the BJP launched a massive outreach campaign in which federal ministers, those in national office, and workers will hold public meetings in all parliamentary seats.
Modi said that every decision taken in the past nine years was meant to "improve people's lives".

"With PM Modi at the helm, in the past nine years, India has witnessed an unprecedented shift toward people-centric and result-oriented governance. To celebrate these achievements, two special modules have been launched on the NaMo App: 1) #9YearsOfSeva and 2) Vikas Yatra. The first module has three sections namely 'Sampark Se Samarthan', 'Har Ghar Vikas' and 'Badalte Bharat Ki Baat'," the BJP said in a tweet.

As many as 51 rallies of BJP's senior political figures have also been planned, mostly in poll-bound states such as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
