Seven people, including four from Mumbai and three from Gujarat, reportedly died due to various reasons, including drowning in the Arabian Sea and heavy rainfalls. Four underage boys from Mumbai drowned in the sea on Monday night.According to officials, a group of eight boys aged 12 to 16 visited Juhu Beach around 8:30 pm, and five of them were sitting at the edge of the jetty, taking selfies. All five of them were washed away by the high tide, however, one was rescued by a fisherman. The Flood and Rescue Team (FRT), the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), and Indian Navy choppers and divers were deployed for the rescue operation, however, on Tuesday, the authorities declared all four dead and found the bodies of two boys.Meanwhile, in Gujarat’s Kutch and Rajkot districts, powerful gusts accompanied by heavy rains, uprooted trees knocking down a wall that killed three people, including two children, the authorities reported. Officials in India and Pakistan are gearing up to tackle Cyclone Biparjoy. The Pakistani army and civil authorities plan to evacuate 80,000 people along the country’s southern coast, Karachi. Meanwhile, thousands in India have already moved to safe shelters ahead of Cyclone Biparjoy’s arrival. The cyclone is expected to land near the Jakhau port in the Kutch district of Gujarat on Thursday evening.
