On Saturday, Delhi’s Revenue Minister Atishi Singh hit out at Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar for delays in processing relief aid to those affected by floods."I was shocked to find that, out of 4,716 families who were staying in relief camps during the flood, only 197 families have received the INR 10,000 ex gratia relief of the Delhi Government," Singh said in a letter to the Chief Secretary.Singh, in a letter, asked Kumar to deploy all officers on Saturday and Sunday so that relief aid could be transferred to flood affected on Monday.“If they are showing such laxity in times of emergency and disaster, I am deeply concerned about what they would be doing in the day-to-day tasks of the departments,” the minister said.The Chief Secretary has been directed to submit a status report to the Revenue Minister and Chief Minister Minister Arvind Kejriwal by 6 pm on Monday.Apart from financial relief, the Delhi government is also organizing special camps for the people whose Aadhaar cards and other documents were washed away in the calamity.

On Saturday, Delhi’s Revenue Minister Atishi Singh hit out at Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar for delays in processing relief aid to those affected by floods.
