The 30-year-old French daredevil, Remi Lucidi, shot to fame worldwide in 2016 for performing exhilarating stunts on towering cranes, awe-inspiring bridges, and on a majestic Ferris wheel.
The death of French daredevil Remi Lucidi has left his fans shocked after he reportedly fell off the 68-story of a Hong Kong residence.
Lucidi was climbing the Tregunter Tower complex when he reportedly lost his footing and fell, succumbing to his injuries.
An initial investigation by the Hong Kong police revealed that Lucidi entered the Tregunter Tower complex at around 6 pm.
He lied to the security guard that he had come to visit a friend on the 40th floor.
When the alleged friend denied being acquainted with Lucidi, the security guard tried to stop him but by then he was already in an elevator.
In CCTV footage taken in the building, Lucidi can be seen arriving on the 49th floor and then taking the staircase to the top.
The security guards who were searching for Lucidi in the building noticed the roof hatch open, but couldn't find him there.
Hong Kong police received a distress call at 7:38 PM from a maid who claimed to have witnessed a man trapped outside the top-floor penthouse and forcefully tapping on the window for help.
He reportedly lost his balance and fell.
The police found Lucidi's camera at the scene, which contained videos of the last high-rise stunts that performed.
