34-year-old Anju had reached Pakistan to meet a man whom she met and fell in love with on Facebook on July 23.
State Home Minister of India's Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra, has said that he suspects there is an “international conspiracy” in the marriage of Indian woman named Anju and a Pakistan man named Nasrullah, media reports said on Monday.
Mishra said: “The way Anju was welcomed in Pakistan and handed over huge gifts raises suspicion of a possible conspiracy.”
He has further stated that a probe has been ordered to ascertain if her cross-border travel and marriage to Nasrullahit's was an “international conspiracy”.
Anju is currently in Pakistan on a month-long visa. Last week, she married her Facebook friend, Nasrullah, after converting to Islam. Her new name is Fatima.
She was already married to Arvind Kumar in India, and they have a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, after she converted to Islam, a local businessman Mohsin Khan Abbasi has gifted her land and money for “embracing Islam”.
While talking to the media, Abbasi said that Anju had travelled all along from India to Pakistan and converted to Islam to start her new married life. We came here to welcome her to our religion and congratulate her on her marriage.”

However, Anju has been facing a massive backlash ever since she reached Pakistan. Demanding an investigation into the matter, Anju’s husband in India, Arvind Kumar, said: “Anju has said she submitted divorce papers in Delhi three years ago, but I have not received any summons or notice from the court yet. On paper, she is still my wife. She cannot marry anyone else.”

He said that the government should investigate her passport and visa documents to check if she used fake documents and signatures to travel to Pakistan.
Moreover, Kumar stated that Anju had not informed him about the visa process, and added that he would file a police complaint regarding the matter once she returns to India.
He also told the media figures that their daughter has now refused to accept Anju as her mother, and now it will be difficult for him also to settle with her in such a scenario.
Meanwhile, Anju’s father, Gaya Prasad Thomas, has cut off all ties with her, saying that “she is dead for us” and vowed not to have anything to do with her.
