Foxconn approved an additional investment of $400 million in India’s Telangana, FIT Hon Teng informed the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. With this, the total investment of Foxconn in Telangana will be of $550 million. Posting the company's disclosure on his social media handle, V Lee, Foxconn's India representative wrote, "Moving so fast, Telangana! Another US$400M is coming."Reacting to Lee's post, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao tweeted on Saturday that the fresh investment proposal is in addition to the $150 million committed earlier.Foxconn Interconnect Technology in May laid the foundation for a new electronics manufacturing facility in Telangana's Kongarkalan area and pledged to invest $500 million in the state, which could generate up to 25,000 jobs.On March 2, Foxconn chairman Young Liu met Telangana state Chief K Chandrashekar Rao after which the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation allocated 196 acres of land to Foxconn.

iPhone manufacturer Foxconn already has a plant in the Indian state of Karnataka, now Telangana. It has expressed an interest in investing in Tamil Nadu.

investment of $400 million in India’s Telangana, FIT Hon Teng informed the
Hong Kong Stock Exchange. With this, the total investment of Foxconn in Telangana will be of $550 million.
Posting the company's disclosure on his social media handle, V Lee, Foxconn's India representative wrote, "Moving so fast, Telangana! Another US$400M is coming."
Reacting to Lee's post,
Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao tweeted on Saturday that the
fresh investment proposal is in addition to the $150 million committed earlier.
Foxconn Interconnect Technology in May laid the foundation for a new electronics manufacturing facility in Telangana's Kongarkalan area and pledged to invest $500 million in the state, which could generate up to 25,000 jobs.
It is expected that the company is likely to manufacture AirPods along with other digital peripherals at the Kongarkalan facility.

allocated 196 acres of land to Foxconn.
