This year so far, four Hindu temples have been targeted in different incidents in Canada. The first three cases were reported in January, February and April.
Khalistan supporters vandalized yet another temple in Canada on Saturday night, triggering outrage among the Indian community.
According to media reports quoting officials, members of a pro-Khalistan group vandalized the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey around midnight, putting up posters calling for Canada to probe India’s role in the death of pro-Khalistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Nijjar was shot dead on June 18 by two unidentified men in the car park of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey. Pro-Khalistani members claim that Delhi was responsible for his killing.
The video of temple, which is ne of the biggest and oldest Hindu sites in Canada, being vandalized has gone viral on social media where two masked men pasting posters on the walls and the gate of the temple are seen.

Attacks on Hindu Temples in Canada

It is not the first time that a Hindu temple has been vandalized in Canada this year. The first incident happened in Brampton when Gauri Shankar Mandir (dedicated to Lord Shiva) was vandalized.
Later in February, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Rama was defaced in Canada's Mississauga city and the third incident was reported in April when the Swaminarayan temple belonging to Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha in Ontario was vandalized.
