India's finest cinema talent has received well-deserved recognition, as the winners of the esteemed 69th National Film Awards were announced during a press conference held in New Delhi.The 69th National Film Awards proved to be truly exceptional, recognizing the remarkable contributions of artists and filmmakers in 2021 amidst the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.During the COVID-induced lockdown, very few movies in 2021 were released on the big screens, as they tried to bring the audience back to cinema halls. 280 feature films in 20 languages were selected for awards.The Best Feature Film award was given to Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, and the Best Non-Feature Film was bagged by Ek Tha Gaon, directed by Srishti Lakhera.The Kashmir Files was awarded with the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, while RRR bagged the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.Allu Arjun won the award for Best Actor for his stellar performance in the movie Pushpa (The Rise Part I), while Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon became joint winners of the Best Actress Award for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively. India's finest cinema talent has received well-deserved recognition, as the winners of the esteemed 69th National Film Awards were announced during a press conference held in New Delhi.
The 69th National Film Awards proved to be truly exceptional, recognizing the remarkable contributions of
artists and filmmakers in 2021 amidst the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
