Lavrov Lauds India's G-20 Presidency

According to Lavrov, the West is trying to undermine the current global governance structure, this is why there is a growing number of countries willing to join BRICS, SCO and other non-western groupings.

"The West wants to 'privatize' the secretariat of international organizations. If their representatives do not receive a majority, the West uses the practice of issuing dual citizenship to those participants who got there under the quotas of non-Western countries. This is a very dangerous trend," Lavrov said on Thursday.

Commenting on the upcoming G-20 summit in New Delhi, Lavrov said, "we are working within India's presidency of the grouping", and expressed support for India's moto of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' ( 'One Earth One Family One Future').

Russian Won't Accept G-20 Summit Declaration if Russian Stance on Crises Ignored

Russia will not agree to accept the upcoming G20 summit’s declaration if it ignores Russia's stance on global crises, Lavrov said on Friday.
The minister mentioned that the West has brought up the Ukraine conflict at every G20 event, while the role of this organization is making decisions aimed at stabilization of global financial and economic processes.

“If you have already decided to rewrite the mandate of the G20, you want it to deal with international crises, we have issued our document with list of conflicts that still exist, which have roots in the wars unleashed by the West,” Lavrov said.

He also said that Russia can discuss these conflicts if the West “wants it” but it will make the G20’s work identical to that of the United Nations.

"In any case, there will be no joint declaration [at the G20 summit] on behalf of all members that does not reflect our position. There will be no such declaration," Lavrov concluded.

De-Dollarization is Inevitable, Says Lavrov

Russia has no intent to 'kill' the US dollar — it is the United States who stopped ensuring the greenback's global dominance, previously accepted by all, Lavrov also said on Friday.
