Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become an inspiration to millions of youth as he opened the doors of opportunity for youngsters to create their own start-up businesses, fostering self-reliance through the Make in India campaign, promoting digitalization, and much more.
On the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the youth of India has spoken to Sputnik India about how they look up to him as a leader and what transformation he has brought to the country and their lives through his work.

‘He is Like the Sun Spreading Hope, Courage, Possibilities’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened new doors of opportunities for youngsters who were restricted to only a few career options 10 years ago, like being a doctor, engineer, teacher, or business process outsourcing.

“With the launch of Start-Up India in 2016, there was no stopping for youngsters who were bursting with creative ideas. People got the courage and with ease of business, they took up the risk to pursue something out of the box, instead of going for the mainstream fields", Pallavi Saini, an engineer-turned-YouTuber and yoga trainer, said.

The need of the hour, she said, was to change the perspective of the youth towards our country.

“He knows very well that this country is of the youth. If you want to make the country progressive and empowered, then you will have to work on the youth of the nation first. To become a global leader, it is important to strengthen the country’s economy, military power, and the youth”, Pallavi added.

When asked how he looks up to PM Modi, Pallavi said, “He is like a sun who has been spreading the light of hope and ignited the youth of India”.
PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign has empowered people to tap their innate potential and make the impossible possible.

“Today our country has become so self-reliant that we are making warships, be it INS Mormugao or INS Vikrant. It makes us feel proud that we are able to make such big warships instead of depending on other countries. This has been made possible because of PM Modi’s leadership”, Pallavi said.

Inspired by his leadership and the way he is taking the country forward, Pallavi said, “I want him to stay our prime minister for the longest time”.

‘He is the Father of the Nation in the True Sense’

Like a father who works hard for the welfare of his family, PM Modi has been dedicatedly working hard for the welfare of the country, said Vishnu Priya, a linguistic expert and Russian language student from Russian House, New Delhi.
“PM Modi is indeed a man with a great vision. Look at the transformation he has brought to our country in the past nine years. Look at Jammu and Kashmir, a place which was once known for terrorism, has now transformed into a place where we could see FDI coming in, and it’s really great”, Priya told Sputnik India.
She gives credit to PM Modi for bringing India to a higher global pedestal.

“Diplomatically things have changed a lot. Countries, which were once not favorable to India are taking for India. Look at the comments we receive from other countries who also wish to have a leader like him. That really shows his regime is indeed successful and his schemes as well”, Priya said.

Priya commented on how the schemes and initiatives implemented by PM Modi have revolutionized India, pointing out that security lapses like the dreadful 26/11 attack are now a thing of the past.

"We really have efficient, hard-working, reliable intelligence officers working for us and under him. Look at his Digital India initiative, we can see so many start-ups booming today. Backing scientists that led to successful space missions was a big feat”.

She added that from propagating yoga worldwide to taking Indian traditions worldwide, PM Modi knows the value of our India’s history and culture very much, which can be seen in his work schemes as well.
“I just hope that he transforms our country into a research hub because the future needs research and development in order to progress”, Priya said.

‘A Man of Vision of Vasudev Kutumbakam (World is One Family)’

Inspired by PM Modi’s Make in India campaign, Puneet Saini started his own venture in metal goods and home decor products.

“Narendra Modi is not an ordinary man. He is a man of vision of Vasudev Katumbhkam (the world is one family). This country always deserves a leader who believes in the vision of treating everyone as one family, one earth, and one future”, Saini told Sputnik India.

One of the aspects that stands out about PM Modi is his unwavering commitment to his roots while striving to lead India forward into a "New India" by embracing new transformations and innovations.

“PM Modi’s leadership, his efforts to connect Indians to its roots of Bharat and simultaneously working on the new changes which society deserve, all these make him stand out among other leaders”, Saini said.

India, being the fastest growing economy, is one of the greatest examples of tremendous growth, he said.
“One of the toughest jobs in the world is being a good leader. A leader who knows when to take risks, how to keep everyone together, how to be a step ahead, and when to take a step back, and work on the root cause. We see all these qualities in the PM Modi ji”, Saini said.

‘Very Hardworking & Charismatic Person’

At present, India sits among the top countries of the world, not just as a spectator but as a participant, Bhumika Gill, a student of B.A English honors from Delhi University's Dyal Singh Evening College told Sputnik India, adding that one can't thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi enough for the efforts he has made for the country.

“I look up to him as a very hardworking and charismatic person and have learned from him to have confidence in your decisions regardless of what the world says”, Gill said.

She opined that most of the decisions which PM Modi has taken for the country have proved highly advantageous toward building a “New India”.
This ranges from making India digital, launching Smart Cities Mission, Make in India campaign, Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), Ayushmann Bharat, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), Jan Dhan Yojna, to several economic reforms that have led to huge FDI in-flow, and confidence-building measures through his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat (talk of the heart) and others.
“All these initiatives have brought him closer to the country and led to a big transformation of India”, Gill said.
“Modi ji realized that India has the highest caliber, and has harnessed that beautifully”, Gill signed off.

‘Early Life Story Inspiring Enough to Motivate People'

Hailing from a very humble non-political background, PM Modi's journey from being a tea seller to India's prime minister has been an inspiration to many.
Sharing the vision of today’s youth, PM Modi has been working towards a strong and prosperous India.
“Since 2014, Modi ji has been the prime minister of India and from that time till now, he has never been unsuccessful in his missions and has made us feel amazed by his works. We the youngsters of India are very inspired by his leadership skills, Ishika Chaudhary, a student of Delhi University’s Dyal Singh Evening College, said.
She added that PM Modi has the remarkable ability to bring out the best in people, whether it's through his decision-making skills or his impressive diplomacy in building relationships with other nations and representing our country on the global stage.

“His early life story is inspiring enough to motivate people. He has made people believe in his vision with his work. He reached out to the world with his idea of Make in India which has generated a positive response from across the globe and is one of many milestones he has achieved with his skilful thinking and pure motives”, Chaudhary said.
