16:57 28.09.2023 (Updated: 09:50 29.09.2023) India has launched an extensive outreach program in Africa as it vies to become a major defense equipment exporter to many countries of the continent.
The Indian Navy on Thursday said that it conducted an exercise with the Royal Moroccan Navy to enhance maritime cooperation between the two countries.
"Mission deployed in the Atlantic, INS Sumedha carried out Maritime Partnership Exercise with Royal Moroccan Naval ship LC Arrahmani
towards enhancing interoperability & strengthening maritime cooperation," India's blue water force said in a statement.
The exercise is part of India's outreach to Africa amid multiple countries from the continent, including Nigeria, showing interest in purchasing military hardware from New Delhi.
