The Indian Navy has developed an indigenous navigation system and an anti-swarm drone, capable of forming a wall of iron balls around its warships to protect them from drone attacks by enemies, Indian Navy officials said.The Indian Navy has enhanced the country's national security by equipping various Indian naval platforms with a range of indigenous systems, including navigation consoles. These cutting-edge installations have been undergoing rigorous trials for more than three months, and are proof that the Navy has a commitment to strengthen the nation's defense capabilities.How does Anti-Swarm Drone Work?Anti-swarm drone ammunition has a single shell with 300 steel balls in it installed in the AK 630 gun mounted on a ship.When fired, 300 steel balls and multiple shells disperse and create a wall of balls in the air around assets and warships that protect it from aerial or drone attacks. The Indian Navy is at present developing an advanced proximity fuse that enhances its lethality by causing it to explode near the drone.
