How Putin Views UNSC Line-Up

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has stressed the importance of reforming the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). He believes that countries such as India, Brazil and South Africa should be represented on the UNSC.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized the urgent need for countries that are advancing with remarkable progress to be granted a rightful place in the United Nations Security Council.
The Russian leader made his remarks at the Valdai discussion club on Thursday.
Putin stated that ''India, Brazil and South Africa primarily deserve greater representation" in the UNSC.
Putin believes that adding more permanent members to the Security Council should also be based on consensus.
If the countries of the Global South become permanent members of the UN Security Council, the world will become more multipolar, as the collective domination of the West will come to an end.
