The West has been trying to "isolate" Russia internationally since last year. However, Russia's relations with many countries, such as China and India, have actually strengthened.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's participation as a 'guest of honour' at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on Wednesday clearly shows that US-led efforts to isolate him have failed miserably, a geopolitical expert on Russia told Sputnik Arabic Radio.

"This forum reflects the formation of a new world order that is not controlled by the United States and its allies. Moscow and Beijing have the same views on what the new world order should be, and they will shape it," Raid Jaber told Sputnik.

The expert noted that the Russia-China “strategic alliance” was strengthening with each passing day.

Jaber also emphasised that leaders and delegations from other countries at the Forum shared "similar views" on the emerging multipolar world order, which he said also united them.

Delegations from 140 countries, including 23 heads of states, are attending the two-day Belt and Road Forum at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

During his keynote address at the forum, Putin described the BRI as “a truly important and global idea” geared towards creating a “multipolar world”.

“I agree with the President of China that the Belt and Road idea ties in logically with multilateral efforts to promote creative and constructive interaction throughout the international community,” stated the Russian President.

Major Global Strategic Transformations Underway

Jaber confidently stated that the BRI Forum will pave the way for ''strategic transformations" worldwide, especially in the countries connected to the BRI.

“This is a package of infrastructure projects that will affect dozens of countries,” he highlighted.

Over the past decade, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has successfully captivated investments amounting to a staggering $1 trillion in more than 3,000 collaborative projects carried out across 150 countries, as revealed by the Chinese government's statistics.
Jaber also reckoned that the Russian energy exports were poised to play a significant role in coming years.
“It is not for nothing that the Russian delegation includes the heads of the largest energy companies. The new distribution of energy and commercial resources will be an economic breakthrough for the participating countries,” he stated.
Efforts by the collective West, led by the US, to deprive Russia of its energy revenues through restrictions, sanctions and a price cap since last year have largely failed, with Moscow diverting its energy supplies to countries such as China and India, which are among the world's largest importers of crude oil.
In fact last month, Russian oil supplies rose by 15 per cent month-on-month.
