Erdogan Says Turkiye Ready to Become One of Palestine's Guarantor Nations

Israel ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip following a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7. The Israeli army is currently preparing for a ground operation in the region.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Wednesday that it conducted a strike against Palestinian fighters in the West Bank, using a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), in response to a fire at Israeli security forces.

"A short while ago, IDF and Israel Border Police forces conducted counterterrorism activities in Wadi Bruqin, in the area of Jenin, and apprehended two individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. Additionally, the forces opened fire toward armed terrorists. Hits were identified. During counterterrorism activity in the Jenin Camp, armed terrorists fired and hurled explosive devices at Israeli security forces. In response, an IDF UAV struck the terrorists. Hits were identified," the IDF wrote on Telegram.

Erdogan Calls for Convening Peace Conference on Palestinian-Israeli Conflict Settlement
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed on Wednesday to convene a peace conference on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict settlement.
"We are proposing to convene an international Palestinian-Israeli peace conference, which will be attended by all players in the region," Erdogan said, speaking in the Turkish parliament.
Turkiye is ready to become one of Palestine's guarantor countries, the president added.
"We are ready to act as a guarantor for the Palestinian side due to our humanitarian, political and military situation," Erdogan said, adding that that a humanitarian corridor needs to be opened in the conflict zone.
