India's LCA Tejas and Pakistan's JF-17 have often competed against each other in markets across Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Their latest showdown comes at the upcoming Dubai Airshow.
The Dubai Airshow, scheduled to take place from November 13 to 17 in the Emirati cosmopolitan city, is set to witness an intriguing contest with India's LCA Tejas combat jets and Pakistan's JF-17 Thunder Block-3 warplanes, where the Asian rivals will compete for the spotlight from prospect global buyers.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has billed this year's Dubai Airshow as one of the best aviation expos on the planet.
During the five days, an array of aircraft from various segments, including military and commercial, would be displayed at the Dubai World Central, the event venue.
Besides, LCA Tejas and JF-17 Thunder, China's J-10C will also vie for attention at the exhibition.
While India's Tejas is manufactured by the South Asian country's aviation behemoth Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) after having incorporated homegrown technology, Pakistan's JF-17 frontline fighter has been co-developed by the Islamic nation's Aeronautical Complex and Chengdu Aerospace Corporation of China.
Earlier this week, the Indian Air Force (IAF) shared pictures of multiple LCA Tejas jets parked at Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport, confirming their participation in the airshow in the UAE.
