Keeping in mind security issues related to Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, the interim government has allowed jail trial for him and his colleague.
The Pakistan caretaker government has approved the jail trial of former prime minister Pakistan and chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and the party vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case, reports said.
They said the federal cabinet gave its assent to the Law Ministry of Pakistan, where a new government is scheduled to be elected in February next year, regarding the trial of the two in the premises of Adiala jail in view of security concerns.

The jail trial was requested for the PTI chairman keeping in view the security concerns, the media reports said.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is scheduled to hear the intra-court appeal filed by Khan against the jail trial on November 14.
