Russia has sent another 27 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the people of the Gaza Strip, with the cargo to be delivered via Egypt, the Russian Ministry of Emergencies (EMERCOM) said on Monday.
The humanitarian aid will be first handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will then make sure it reaches Gaza, the statement read.
The delivery of the cargo has been organized following a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and under the direction of EMERCOM chief Alexander Kurenkov.
The civilian death toll in Gaza has exceeded 13,000 since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The Israeli attacks are believed to have left an estimated 6,000 people trapped under the rubble, including more than 4,000 children and women who remain unaccounted for, Gaza officials said.
The IDF, for its part, said at least 378 Israeli soldiers had been killed since this latest wave of hostilities between Palestine and Israel started.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, most hospitals and medical clinics in Gaza have been closed because of damage from Israeli strikes or lack of fuel.

The situation in the Indonesian Hospital is extremely difficult: there is shooting in the vicinity of the hospital, Shehab Younis, a Palestinian journalist from the Gaza Strip, told Sputnik.
"Israeli forces are now attacking the Indonesian hospital. The surrounding area is being bombed, and horror and fear reign among the wounded and displaced inside this place. The bombing has not stopped for more than two hours, the IDF has not stopped shelling both the hospital itself and the area around it. The situation is getting worse.
First, the Israelis launched a direct airstrike on the hospital, then continued shelling. The shelling intensity is very high and is directed at civilians here. Both Israeli artillery and the IDF Air Force are attacking the hospital.
At the same time, the Israeli army began shelling the Al-Auda hospital: it is located next to the Indonesian one. The area in which both hospitals are located is under fire from literally everywhere.”

Latest on aftermath of Israeli strike against Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza Strip
Twelve people were wounded and others accompanying them lost their lives in the attack on the hospital, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
Adnan Al-Borsh, head of Al-Shifa Hospital’s surgical department, who went to the Indonesian Hospital to help his colleagues, was wounded in the attack.
About 6,000-7,000 people remain in the Indonesian Hospital, including patients, doctors, and displaced people), an Al Jazeera TV journalist reported.
Warnings sent up the chain of command about ‘heightened activity’ displayed by Hamas before the 7 October attack had been disregarded because they had come from women, reported Haaretz.
An all-female unit of soldiers in the Border Defense Corps who monitor surveillance camera screens, known in Hebrew as tatzpitaniyot, had reportedly observed Hamas training to “take over an observation post” for weeks.
“There is no doubt that if there were men sitting at those screens, things would look different,” one soldier was cited as saying, adding: “If we had known about this warning, this whole disaster would have looked different.”
