The interrogation of PTI chief Imran Khan comes just days before he is due to appear in court in two key cases. Meanwhile, Pakistan goes to the polls on 8 February.
Four teams from Pakistan's anti-corruption watchdog, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), interrogated former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail in connection with the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) UK and Al-Qadir University Trust cases, Pakistani media reported on Monday.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was interrogated in Rawalpindi-located jail by the teams for over nine hours on Sunday. He was grilled in relation with varying documents, media reported on Monday citing sources.

Detailing about two of the four teams, the report stated that the first team quizzed him for two-and-a-half hours at the jail. The team comprised an assistant director of NAB Rawalpindi and a member of the Combined Investigation Team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Later, a two-member team quizzed the PTI chief regarding £190 million and Al-Qadir University Trust cases.

Khan is set to appear in different courts of Islamabad on Tuesday and Thursday in separate cases. He is expected to appear in relation to the Cipher case on 28 November. The cricketer-turned-politician's appeal challenging his conviction in Toshakhana criminal case is to be heard on 30 November.
