A special court established under the Official Secrets Act on Wednesday once again indicted Imran Khan in the cipher case.
The family of ex-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has expressed fears that the former prime minister could be sentenced to death in the cipher case trial.
Khan's sister Aleema Khan shared the concerns with local media on Thursday -- a day after Khan sought recusal of Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq from benches hearing the cases related to him.

The woman expressed scepticism over her brother getting a fair trial as she interacted with media persons outside the Adiala Jail, where Khan is incarcerated. Khans' sister said she did not see justice being done in his case.

The cricketer-turned-politician, who has never pleaded guilty, is accused of the alleged misuse of US diplomatic cable for political purposes.
His sister also shared with the media how cubicles had been set up in the courtroom, making it difficult for her to even understand what sort of fear prompted all that.

Aleema Khan claimed that while her family was inside, the courtroom was locked from outside, adding that they were chased just as they left their house, and threatened of being jailed.

She also pointed out that the media persons not being allowed to attend the trial, "must be linked to some motive".
