Leader of opposition Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday held a meeting with members of opposition bloc to discuss Parliament security breach.
The members of the opposition bloc dubbed the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) after a Thursday meeting have demanded a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah over the recent security breach in Parliament.
The members of the opposition bloc have also demanded the Home Minister's resignation over this major security breach, according to media reports quoting sources.

In response to the opposition's demand for Shah's resignation, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the secretariat is responsible for the security within the House and emphasised that the federal government will not interfere in this matter.

Both the Houses, namely the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha (known as the Lower House and Upper House, respectively), were adjourned soon after the morning proceedings had commenced due to slogans raised by opposition members, who were criticising the security failure.
The Lok Sabha Speaker reassured amidst the commotion that he has discussed the matter with the House and will continue to do so.
“We will discuss this with all of you. The responsibility and jurisdiction for the security arrangements lies with Lok Sabha secretariat. That's why the secretariat will speak to you,” he stated.
“The government cannot intervene in (responsibilities of) Lok Sabha secretariat. We will not allow that either,” he further added.
Meanwhile, eight Lok Sabha personnel have been suspended over the security breach inside the Parliament.
Earlier in the day, several opposition parliamentarians submitted adjournment motions in both Houses of Parliament, demanding that a discussion be held on the security breach in the Lok Sabha yesterday. They have called for the suspension of all other proceedings in the House.
On Wednesday, two men infiltrated the Lok Sabha chambers and unleashed yellow smoke from canisters. In addition to that, one of the infiltrators leapt over tables and ran toward the Speaker's chair.
Simultaneously, two other individuals set off comparable red and yellow smoke canisters outside the parliament building.
The Delhi Police have arrested five people in connection with the case, yet one is still on the loose. The arrested individuals have been charged under the anti-terror law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The security breach occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack.
