India says it's committed to helping Nepal in any situation. India's foreign minister is on a two-day visit to the country.
To help Nepal rebuild infrastructure in the earthquake-hit areas of various districts, India has pledged a financial package of USD 75 million to the neighbouring country, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is on a two-day visit to the Himalayan nation, said on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Jaishankar and his Nepalese counterpart N P Saud jointly inaugurated the Tribhuvan University Central Library and other reconstruction projects in the capital Kathmandu following the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
Information on all these activities was posted on X by the Minister.
Speaking at the event, the visiting Indian minister said he was pleased to inaugurate the university's newly constructed central library and other projects undertaken as part of a joint effort to help Nepal after the devastating earthquake in 2015.

India, according to Jaishankar, was also saddened to learn of the devastation caused by the earthquake that struck Nepal last year.

On 3 November 2023, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal's Jajarkot district, killing more than 150 people and injuring nearly 400. The earthquake was the deadliest to hit the country since 2015.
“We shall continue to stand by the people of Nepal and contribute to the efforts of the government of Nepal on this,” Jaishankar could be heard as saying in video posted on the X.
