Thus, he finally visited Chukotka in 2024.During his trip, the Russian leader attended the year-round Peasant Farm of the Makatrovs greenhouse complex.He moves around Chukotka in an all-terrain vehicle. This is a vehicle on huge ultra-low pressure wheels – they are many times larger than the tires for a standard SUV. Thanks to this, minimal pressure is created on the ground and the machine moves through the snow with ease.Due to its Arctic location, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug has problems with transport accessibility. Due to the harsh climate, paved roads are only available in cities and adjacent villages. In the rest of the region, winter roads are used - unpaved roads on which movement is only possible in wintertime on compacted snow.
