India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated the country's long-standing stance on the two-state solution while addressing the pressing issue of the Israel-Hamas war at the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda.Referring to the conflict in Gaza, the Minister said that it was of paramount concern to India and that this humanitarian crisis required a durable solution that would provide immediate relief to those most affected.Jaishankar also said that international humanitarian law must always be respected by all and it is also imperative that the conflict does not spread within or beyond the region.Reiterating India’s two-state solution, the external affairs minister said: “We must seek a two-state solution where the Palestinian people can live within secure borders. Our collective endeavours should focus on making this realisable.”Highlighting the ramifications of the global issues, the minister noted that growth and progress depend on peace and stability.

India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated the country's long-standing stance on the two-state solution while addressing the pressing issue of the Israel-Hamas war at the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda.
Referring to the conflict in Gaza, the Minister said that it was of paramount concern to India and that this humanitarian crisis required a durable solution that would provide immediate relief to those most affected.
“We must also be clear that terrorism and hostage taking are unacceptable. At the same time, international humanitarian law must always be respected by all states. It is also imperative that conflict does not spread within or beyond the region. But in the final analysis, we must seek a two-state solution where the Palestinian people can live within secure borders. Our collective endeavours should focus on making this realisable,” he stated.
