Pakistan Army Chief Met With China's Vice FM: What Did They Discuss?
China's Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong vice foreign minister met Pakistan's army chief, General Syed Asim Munir, on Monday night, after Tehran and Islamabad agreed to de-escalate following unprecedented missile strikes in their respective territories.
An "all-weather strategic partnership" has been established between Pakistan and China, Sun Weidong said, according to a statement shared by the Chinese government.
The Chinese side alsoappreciated Pakistan's efforts to ensure regional stability and expressed China's satisfaction with the security measures for
the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
Earlier, China was ready to play a constructive role in resolving differences between Pakistan and Iran, Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong told the media.
Pakistan and Iran are the largest countries in the region and the Muslim world, so China hopes that differences between them could be resolved through peaceful means, he noted.
