Praveen Pathak, the export director of BrahMos Aerospace, has revealed that the delay in the construction of deployment sites for BrahMos regiments in the Philippines has delayed the supply of the widely acclaimed projectile to the Southeast Asian country.The company's top executive underlined that despite the brief delay, the New Delhi-headquartered firm looking at completing the shipment of all three batteries of the BrahMos missile to the Philippines by the end of the year.He mentioned that a delegation from the archipelago nation inspected the equipment during their recent visit to India.The delay in the first consignment of BrahMos missiles comes at a time when Manila is negotiating for a follow-on order for the projectile with New Delhi.While the first order was for the Philippines Marines, the second is reported to be for the country's Army.

India signed a landmark deal for the supply of three regiments of BrahMos missiles in January 2022, marking the Indo-Russian joint venture's first export order worth $375 million.
Praveen Pathak, the export director of
BrahMos Aerospace, has revealed that the delay in the construction of deployment sites for BrahMos regiments in
the Philippines has delayed the supply of the
widely acclaimed projectile to the Southeast Asian country.
"There were difficulties with preparing missile deployment sites because of strong monsoons. Their construction was postponed a bit. We expect to complete it within two months. Shipments will happen as soon as we are finished," Pathak noted at the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The company's top executive underlined that despite the brief delay, the New Delhi-headquartered firm looking at completing the
shipment of all three batteries of the BrahMos missile to the Philippines by the end of the year.
He mentioned that a delegation from the archipelago nation inspected the equipment during their recent visit to India.
"They signed an acceptance letter for the equipment's delivery. It is ready for shipment," it added.
The delay in the first consignment of BrahMos missiles comes at a time when Manila is negotiating for a follow-on order
