Set to take place from March 1 to March 7, 2024, on the Sirius Federal Territory, World Youth Festival 2024 promises to unite young minds from across the globe under one vibrant banner of celebration and camaraderie.The Festival will welcome 20,000 young leaders from Russia and around the world across diverse fields including business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering, charity, sports, and various sectors of public life. Ajayaghosh from India's Kerala state, an environment activist and a student of criminology and forensic psychology, who is going to represent the country at the World Youth Festival in Russia's Sochi city.A member of the Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP), Ajayaghosh has been actively involved in education, advocacy, and initiatives addressing the global issue of plastic pollution.She aspires to become an advocate for change in the face of environmental pollution, a global menace that plagues the planet.Spreading Power of Yoga – Ancient Indian TraditionAt 32, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, a Ph.D. in Sanskrit and gold medalist in Yoga Asana Championship, is leading people to lead a healthy way of living by practising yoga.A highly skilled level three yoga teacher and evaluator recognized by the Indian Yoga Association and supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Dr. Sharma is thrilled to have the opportunity to represent India's revered tradition of Yoga at the World Youth Forum.“Both India and Russia are doing a marvelous job to make their upcoming generations stronger mentally, physically, and socially. Meet 22-year-old Anamika P. Ajayaghosh from India's Kerala state, an environment activist and a student of criminology and forensic psychology, who is going to represent the country at the World Youth Festival in Russia's Sochi city.
A member of the Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP), Ajayaghosh has been actively involved in education, advocacy, and initiatives addressing the global issue of plastic pollution.
She aspires to become an advocate for change in the face of environmental pollution, a global menace that plagues the planet.
“The festival will allow me to share and comprehend a wide range of viewpoints on climate issues, global political, economic, and science. I look forward to building a network of youths working for a cause and aim to spread awareness and implement long-term solutions to protect our planet from the evil of plastic garbage,” Ajayaghosh told Sputnik.
Spreading Power of Yoga – Ancient Indian Tradition
At 32, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, a Ph.D. in Sanskrit and gold medalist in Yoga Asana Championship, is leading people to lead a healthy way of living by practising yoga.
A highly skilled level three yoga teacher and evaluator recognized by the Indian Yoga Association and supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Dr. Sharma is thrilled to have the opportunity to represent India's revered tradition of Yoga at the World Youth Forum.
“I will teach and present yoga-related information, practice, also demonstrate the asanas. I aim to take this extraordinary Indian science to the whole world and inspire others to follow yoga in daily life,” Dr Sharma told Sputnik.
“Both India and Russia are doing a marvelous job to make their upcoming generations stronger mentally, physically, and socially. This exchange of culture and tradition is going to be a great learning experience for all the participants,” Dr Sharma, who works at Vishwayatan Yogashram Katra Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir, said.
Bridging Bond Through Songs, Dialogues
A 29-year-old engineer, Vishnupriya, from Chennai is defying language barriers with her exceptional linguistic skills and passion for engaging in meaningful dialogues.
She will captivate audiences at the World Youth Festival through engaging in dialogue sessions and poetry competitions, as well as demonstrating her singing skills in foreign languages.
“I can speak almost 11 to 12 languages. I'm a Carnatic music vocalist as well and have performed several carnatic music vocal concerts. I'm excited to take part in the World Youth festival this time and reading up a lot on diverse topics to share my insights on mental and digital wellbeing, especially artificial intelligence,” Vishnupriya told Sputnik India, who is also one of the BRICS Volunteers from India.
She will also join the national parade, where everyone will wear traditional Indian clothes and display India's cultural celebration.
