Russia is now one of India's main oil suppliers, supplying 1.2 million barrels of crude per day in January, according to data from energy cargo tracker Vortexa.
India has become the second-largest buyer of Russian oil over the past two years.
Russian oil exports have been increasing constantly at a good pace, despite malicious Western efforts and tactics to curb the trade.
Russia exported an average 4.9 million barrels of oil per day only to the top 3 importers India, China and Turkiye in the financial year 2023.
