The Bengaluru City Crime Branch police are investigating a threatening email sent to Karnataka State Chief Siddaramaiah and his cabinet colleagues on Tuesday.Apart from Siddaramaiah, others who have received the threatening email include Deputy State Chief DK Shivakumar and state Home Minister G Parameshwara.According to media reports, the mail, with a video attached, was sent from the email address shahidkhan10786@protonmail.com.The message said the blackmailers had other videos and threatened to set off a bomb on an Ambari Utsav bus.“After the Ambari Utsav bus blast, we will raise our demands on social media. And will upload screenshots of the mail sent to you on social media. We will tweet information about the next explosion,” the note read.The incident came the same day Karnatka resident Mohammed Rasool Kaddare was arrested for posting a video threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh State Chief Yogi Adityanath.

The unknown blackmailer who sent the threatening email to Karnataka State Chief and others has demanded a ransom of $2.5 million.
The Bengaluru City Crime Branch police are investigating a threatening email sent to Karnataka State Chief Siddaramaiah and his cabinet colleagues on Tuesday.
Apart from Siddaramaiah, others who have received the
threatening email include
Deputy State Chief DK Shivakumar and
state Home Minister G Parameshwara.
According to media reports, the mail, with a video attached, was sent from the email address
shahidkhan10786@protonmail.com.
“If you don't provide us with 2.5 million dollars, we will cause large explosions on buses, trains, temples, hotels and public areas throughout Karnataka,” the blackmailer wrote
The message said the blackmailers had other videos and threatened to
set off a bomb on an Ambari Utsav bus.
“After the Ambari Utsav bus blast, we will raise our demands on social media. And will upload screenshots of the mail sent to you on social media. We will tweet information about the next explosion,” the note read.
