On Monday, a Delhi court sent Delhi state chief and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody in Tihar Jail number 2 until April 15.
Delhi state chief and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly named two Delhi government colleagues when questioned about the liquor policy case.
“The AAP chief said that [former communications in-charge] Vijay Nair didn’t report to him but to [AAP ministers] Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, and that his interaction with Vijay Nair was limited,” the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said.
Nair is one of the accused in the liquor policy case and his alleged involvement starts from his tenure as the party’s communications director.
Meanwhile, AAP politician Jasmine Shah dismissed the allegations, arguing that Nair had already disclosed that he didn’t report to Kejriwal when he was detained.

“Vijay Nair had said this when he was detained. Vijay Nair had said that I do not report to the chief minister, but to Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj. Now the question arises why ED gave the same statement after one-and-a-half years?" said Shah.

Following the revelation, Atishi avoided media questions on Monday about her name appearing in the case at the premises of Rouse Avenue Court in the national capital.
Kejriwal was sent to 14 days judicial custody by Rouse Avenue Court on Monday as his ED custody ended. He will be lodged in Prison Number 2 of Tihar Jail and will be staying alone in the barrack.
He will be given medicine and a special diet given his medical history. Kejriwal’s lawyers have also moved an application to allow him to carry three books – Bhagavad Gita, Ramayan and How Prime Ministers Decide by journalist Neerja Chaudhary.
The Delhi state chief was arrested by the ED on March 21 after being questioned at his residence for several hours. He was sent to the custody of the federal probe agency.
