Festivities take over around the world as Muslims come together to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Mosques across India are beautifully adorned with decorations attracting scores of Muslim devotees gathered to offer prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr festival on Thursday.
The joyful spirit of unity fills the air as families gather for gala feasts, breaking the month-long period of fasting and prayers, and exchanging gifts, while children eagerly await their share of Eidi, a traditional gift of money given during Eid.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to wish everyone celebrating ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ and said, “May this occasion further spread the spirit of compassion, togetherness and peace. May everyone be happy and healthy. Eid Mubarak!”

President of India, Droupadi Murmu, Uttar Pradesh state Chief Yogi Adityanath, and several other political leaders and celebrities extended extend warm wishes and greetings to Muslim devotees on social media.
Social media is flooded with people sharing glimpses of their Eid-al-Fitr celebrations.
