The Indian Army announced the fifth round of the India-Uzbekistan Dustlik joint military exercise will kick off on April 15 in Termez district, Uzbekistan.Both the Indian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan will take part in joint training drills aimed at bolstering collaboration and laying the groundwork for future military engagements.The fourth round of the bilateral exercises took place on February 20 last year at the Foreign Training Node, Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.The Indian Ministry of Defence reported that 45 personnel from each side participated in the exercise, aimed at fostering positive relations between the two armies.The Indian Army contingent included troops from an infantry battalion of the Garhwal Rifles Regiment. The inaugural exercise was held in Uzbekistan in November 2019.

The Indian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan will engage in joint training drills with the aim of enhancing cooperation and establishing a foundation for future joint military work.
The Indian Army announced the fifth round of the India-Uzbekistan Dustlik joint military exercise will kick off on April 15 in Termez district, Uzbekistan.
"5th Edition of Joint Military Exercise 'DUSTLIK' between India and Uzbekistan will be conducted at Termez District, #Uzbekistan from 15 to 28 April 2024. The participating contingents from the #IndianArmedForces and Armed Forces of the Republic of #Uzbekistan will train together to cement the foundation for collaborations & future military interactions," the Indian Army posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
Both the Indian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan will take part in
joint training drills aimed at bolstering collaboration and laying the groundwork for future military engagements.
The fourth round of the bilateral exercises took place on February 20 last year at the Foreign Training Node, Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.
The 14-day joint training exercise focuses on exchanging best practices in sub-conventional operations under the UN mandate, according to the Indian Army's Additional Directorate General of Public Information.
