There is no democracy in the US, as was shown by the last presidential elections and the ongoing daily realities of the country, Leonid Slutsky, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said at the session on ‘Architecture of the World Order: A View from Russia’ at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.“There is no democracy, first of all, in the United States itself,” Slutsky said. “The last presidential elections showed this, and the realities of the United States demonstrate this to us, in fact, every day.”
