India's state-run Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) announced on Monday that it will supply an advanced tug with specific features to overcome the harsh ocean waters of the Bay of Bengal, to the Bangladesh Navy.The deal agreed upon on Sunday will see GRSE constructing a tug for Bangladesh's naval force in Kolkata over the next two years.The approximate cost of production of the tug is $21 million.Meanwhile, this is the second deal signed by the GRSE and Bangladesh. In June, two parties inked agreements for the Trailing Suction Hopper (TSH) dredger, which will be built at a cost of $16.6 million before being delivered to the neighboring country.

India's state-run Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) announced on Monday that it will supply an advanced tug with specific features to overcome the harsh ocean waters of the Bay of Bengal, to the Bangladesh Navy.
The deal agreed upon on Sunday will see GRSE constructing a tug for Bangladesh's naval force in Kolkata over
the next two years.
The approximate cost of production of the tug is $21 million.
"The overall length of the ocean-going tug will be nearly 61 m, and the vessel will be about 15.80 m wide with a depth nearly 6.80 m. The tug's draught requirement with a full load will be around 4.8 m while its bollard pull capacity will be 76 tonnes ahead and 50 tonnes astern," the GRSE's statement reads.
