In the first six months of 2024, Russia imported $62.8 million worth of coffee, tea, and spices from India, marking a nearly one-third increase over January-June 2023. Specifically, in June 2024, imports reached $12.3 million, a 32% rise compared to June of the previous year.In addition to tea and coffee, Russia imported small quantities of spices from India, including $3.9 million worth of ginger, saffron, turmeric, and curry, and $1.9 million worth of anise, fennel, and coriander seeds. Pepper imports amounted to $2 million, nutmeg to $80,000, and cinnamon to $10,000.Russia ranked 11th among the top importers of Indian coffee, tea, and spices in the first half of 2024, with a market share of 2.8%, climbing one position from the previous year. China was the largest importer, with $500 million in imports, accounting for 17.3% of the market. The UAE, the USA, Italy, and Bangladesh rounded out the top five importers.Overall, India exported $2.9 billion worth of coffee, tea, and spices in January-June 2024, a 22.3% increase from the previous year.

In the first six months of 2024, Russia imported $62.8 million worth of coffee, tea, and spices from India, marking a nearly one-third increase over January-June 2023. Specifically, in June 2024, imports reached $12.3 million, a 32% rise compared to June of the previous year.
The most notable growth was seen in the import of Indian tea and coffee. Tea imports grew by 20.5% year-on-year, totaling $43 million, while coffee imports more than doubled to $12 million.
In addition to tea and coffee, Russia imported small quantities of spices from India, including $3.9 million worth of ginger, saffron, turmeric, and curry, and $1.9 million worth of anise, fennel, and coriander seeds. Pepper imports amounted to $2 million, nutmeg to $80,000, and cinnamon to $10,000.
