President Vladimir Putin's comments wherein he described modern neoliberalism degenerating into a totalitarian ideology are 100 percent relevant today, more so, when American interference has increased significantly in the world, an Indian Air Force (IAF) veteran and retired group captain Uttam Kumar Devnath, told Sputnik India on Friday. From a bipolar to a unipolar world, the global power structure is now slowly moving towards a multipolar world, the military and strategic affairs analyst noted. While Western countries are fast losing their stranglehold on power, they have managed to impose their hegemonic tactics, threatening many countries with unilateral sanctions, largely due to their dominance of the global financial institutions, he stressed.Devnath added that, more often than not, any kind of aid – financial, military, or otherwise – comes with its own set of conditionalities, allowing the US to interfere in regions where it has no business.Eventually, Hasina was forced to flee following a violent student uprising. Nonetheless, there are strong indications of a US hand in Hasina's ouster, he said. For example, there is substantial documentary evidence that the current chief advisor (equivalent to the Prime Minister), Muhammad Yunus, is closely aligned with the current US administration, Devnath asserted. The US has been advocating for a rules-based order on various public platforms, but its actions contradict its words, Devnath pointed out, highlighting the American hypocrisy. For instance, occupants of the White House pledge to preserve and spread democracy, yet they are often behind the overthrow of democratically elected governments in other nations, he added.Instead, Ukraine should look at nearby Poland — has that country gained anything by joining NATO? The answer would be nothing. It is quite surprising that Ukraine, which has historical ties with Russia, is in conflict with it, Devnath stressed. He believes this has been made possible by hoodwinking the Ukrainian people.More importantly, the only guarantee Moscow sought from Kiev was that it would not become a NATO member, but to no avail. Hence, the sole responsibility for this conflict rests on Ukraine, not Russia, he concluded.

Zelensky Duping His Citizens With US Collaboration
19:30 08.11.2024 (Updated: 19:46 08.11.2024) Russian President Vladimir Putin criticised the West in his recent speech, accusing the US and its allies of using their neoliberal ideology as a tool to fulfil their political agenda.
While Western countries are fast losing their
stranglehold on power, they have managed to impose their hegemonic tactics, threatening many countries with unilateral sanctions, largely due to their dominance of the
global financial institutions, he stressed.
Devnath added that, more often than not, any kind of aid – financial, military, or otherwise – comes with its own set of conditionalities, allowing the US to interfere in regions where it has no business.
"Besides, the US and other European powers arm-twisted nations through political pressure and brought regime changes through the involvement of the American deep state. To remove governments in states where the administrations were not favourable to the US, they used manipulation as a tool. The latest example is Bangladesh, where Sheikh Hasina rebuffed US pressure to allow them to set up a military base," the pundit highlighted.
Eventually, Hasina was forced to flee following a violent student uprising. Nonetheless, there are strong indications of a US hand in Hasina's ouster, he said. For example, there is substantial documentary evidence that
the current chief advisor (equivalent to the Prime Minister),
Muhammad Yunus, is closely aligned with the current US administration, Devnath asserted.
The US has been advocating for a rules-based order on various public platforms, but its actions contradict its words, Devnath pointed out, highlighting the American hypocrisy. For instance, occupants of the White House pledge to preserve and spread democracy, yet they are often behind the overthrow of democratically elected governments in other nations, he added.
"One more case of Western double standards is Ukraine. The US and its European allies have long courted Ukraine to become a NATO member. Here the basic question is: why is the West so keen to induct Ukraine into NATO? Strangely, NATO doesn't need Ukraine nor does the latter benefit from becoming a member of a military bloc primarily dominated by wealthy European sovereign states," he underlined.
Instead, Ukraine should look at nearby Poland — has that country gained anything by joining NATO? The answer would be nothing. It is quite surprising that Ukraine, which
has historical ties with Russia, is in conflict with it, Devnath stressed.
He believes this has been made possible by hoodwinking the Ukrainian people.
"In collusion with the US, Zelensky has been fooling his countrymen. The fact is, by shifting its allegiance to America, Ukraine is not gaining anything but losing much more in the form of a neighbour [Russia] with which it shares a lot in common," the former IAF officer explained.
More importantly, the only guarantee Moscow sought from Kiev was that it would not become a NATO member, but to no avail. Hence, the sole responsibility for this conflict rests on Ukraine, not Russia, he concluded.
