Dmitry Kiselev, General Director of Sputnik News Agency and one of Russia’s leading journalists highlighted that the recent BRICS summit in Kazan was the culmination of processes initiated in the early 21st century. Mr. Kiselev emphasised the shared commitment of BRICS nations to traditional values and global harmony, rejecting Western-imposed models. He also pointed out that Russia and the U.S. maintain a global nuclear balance, and without Russia, the world would lack a counterbalance to U.S. military dominance. Therefore, Russia's efforts are aimed at ensuring the free development of humanity based on the principles of diversity and the potential of BRICS nations.

Russia Fighting for Right of All to Develop Freely: Highlights From Sputnik's Round Table in Delhi
17:01 20.11.2024 (Updated: 17:06 20.11.2024) Mr. Kiselev made his remarks during the round table discussion on BRICS and the New World Order organised by Sputnik India in New Delhi on November 20.
Dmitry Kiselev, General Director of Sputnik News Agency and one of Russia’s leading journalists highlighted that the recent BRICS summit in Kazan was the culmination of processes initiated in the early 21st century.
He contrasted Russia's vision of a multipolar world with the U.S.'s attempts to establish a unipolar "Pax Americana," noting that the Kazan summit brought together leaders representing over 58% of the global population.
Titled "BRICS Potential: Expanding Humanitarian, Political, and Trade-Economic Development as a Driving Force for Fostering a New World Order," the discussion was meant to explore questions such as BRICS' ability to realize its potential and the role Russia and India can play in the group’s development.
