Rescue teams from India, China, Singapore and Thailand has also been dispatched, after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar. According to the latest data, the death toll from the earthquake reached 1,644, with 3,408 injured and 139 missing. A number of countries, including Russia and Belarus, have been assisting Myanmar with relief efforts, including by sending rescue teams. A group of 20 rescuers, dog handlers and drone systems operators, which will be the first to start search-and-rescue operators, was sent to the Mandalay Region by plane, the ministry said, adding that another 10 Russian rescuers departed to the site by off-road cars to assess the infrastructure and the condition of the roadway. Russia’s EMERCOM team became a part of the international crisis response center, which was established in accordance with the UN Charter at the airport of Naypyidaw to coordinate the actions of international rescue teams, the ministry added.

A group of Russian rescuers and dog handlers has been sent to Myanmar’s Mandalay Region, which was hit the most by the deadly earthquake, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) said.
Rescue teams from India, China, Singapore and Thailand has also been dispatched, after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar.
According to the latest data, the death toll from the earthquake reached 1,644, with 3,408 injured and 139 missing. A number of countries, including Russia and Belarus, have been assisting Myanmar with relief efforts, including by sending rescue teams.
“A joint meeting of representatives of the Russia’s EMERCOM with the government leadership was held in Naypyidaw. It was decided to transfer a joint detachment of the Russia’s EMERCOM to the most devastated area of the country, the Mandalay Region,” the ministry said.
