Developed by Russia’s state-owned defense giant Rostec, the Dzhigit launching unit is a versatile, mobile air defense system designed to significantly boost the combat effectiveness of man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS).
Compatible with the Igla and Verba missile systems, Dzhigit is engineered for speed, adaptability, and precision.
Key Features and Capabilities
Dual-Mode Firing: The launcher supports both single-shot and synchronized volley fire, giving it double the strike capability of a conventional MANPADS setup.
High Mobility: Dzhigit can be operated from the ground or mounted on a vehicle, making it adaptable to a variety of combat scenarios.
Rapid Deployment: Just two operators are required to deploy the system, and the entire setup can be operational in under 2 minutes.
Advanced Design with Operator in Mind
The Dzhigit system is mounted on a heavy-duty tripod and includes:
An ergonomically supported seat for the operator.
A rocking frame launch structure fitted with two MANPADS launch tubes.
A user-friendly targeting interface to enhance precision and responsiveness.
Superiority on the Battlefield
The dual-launch configuration increases the probability of target destruction by 1.5 times compared to single-tube systems.
With integrated thermal imaging, Dzhigit remains fully functional during night operations and low-visibility conditions.
