India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, has praised the country’s remarkable growth in crude oil exports from Russia, emphasising the significant shift in energy sourcing over the past year.
"If you remember in February 2022, India's sourcing of crude from the Russian Federation was less than 0.2%. Today it's 30-plus per percent," Puri said.
Russia is currently the largest exporter of crude to India, holding an over 40 percent share in the country's oil basket.
