Delegations from Russia and Pakistan, led by Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov and Pakistan's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arms Control and Disarmament, Tahir Andrabi, participated in the 15th meeting of the Bilateral Advisory Group on Strategic Stability, according to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed in detail international security issues, regional and global stability, as well as various aspects of arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation.
The delegations also exchanged views on matters related to the agenda of the UN General Assembly's First Committee, the Conference on Disarmament, the IAEA, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and the Biological Weapons Convention.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the alignment of their approaches on several topics and agreed to "maintain close coordination both bilaterally and at relevant international forums," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
The next meeting of the Advisory Group will take place in Moscow in 2026.
