Currently, the border between Pakistan and India remains closed. India’s Ministry of External Affairs S. Jaishankar issued a special permit to 162 Afghan cargo trucks to enter India through the Wagah border crossing. This permission applies exclusively to Afghan heavy goods vehicles and does not extend to Pakistani trucks.The Wagah checkpoint has been closed since 22 April amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
