11:15 28.05.2025 (Updated: 12:05 28.05.2025) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 296 Ukrainian drones over the Moscow region and 12 other regions of Russia over the past night, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"During the past night from 21:00 Moscow time [18:00 GMT] on May 27 to 07:00 on May 28, air defence systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 296 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type over the territories of the Moscow Region, Bryansk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, Tula regions," the ministry said in a statement.
