Indian police have so far found one survivor of the plane crash, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik said on Thursday.Earlier in the day, media reported that a Boeing 787 Dreamliner passenger plane crashed in the Indian state of Gujarat near the airport in Ahmedabad. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India confirmed that 242 people were on board the plane, including two pilots and ten flight attendants."The police found one survivor in seat 11A. He has been in the hospital and is under treatment. Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet. The death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area," Malik told the ANI news agency.This plane crash is the first air catastrophe involving a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, in which people have been killed, according to the information from the Aviation Safety Network database.There have been about 170 accidents involving a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, but none of them resulted in deaths except this one.The first flight of this type of aircraft took place in 2009.
