Putin Expresses Condolences to India Leadership Over Plane Crash

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his deep condolences to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the tragic passenger plane crash near Ahmedabad airport, the Kremlin said on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Indian news portal ABP reported that a passenger plane crashed in the Indian state of Gujarat near the airport in Ahmedabad. Later, the ANI news agency, citing a local police officer, reported that the plane that crashed in India crashed onto the roof of a dormitory of medical students. Media report that a total of 133 people died in the tragedy.
"Please accept my deep condolences in connection with the tragic consequences of the plane crash at the Ahmedabad airport," the telegram of condolences read.
Putin also asked to convey words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured in the disaster.
