"During the past night, from 23:00 Moscow time [20:00 GMT] on August 5 to 05:30 Moscow time [02:30 GMT] on August 6, air defense systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 51 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.The defense ministry specified that 16 drones each were downed over the Rostov and Bryansk regions, 12 over the Republic of Crimea, four over the Voronezh Region and three over the Oryol Region.

Russian air defence systems shot down 51 Ukrainian drones over five Russian regions last night, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
"During the past night, from 23:00 Moscow time [20:00 GMT] on August 5 to 05:30 Moscow time [02:30 GMT] on August 6, air defense systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 51 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
